Some people don't change, so the next time Peter Foster got out of prison, he set up another scam that stole millions of dollars. Peter Foster is a notorious fraudster who has served time behind bars in Britain, the US and Australia.
His favorite scheme is to set up a betting company on behalf of his clients. He has also been involved in weight loss product scams. However, his fame culminated in a scandal in the early 2000s, when it was revealed that he helped the wife of former Prime Minister Tony Blair buy property at cut prices.
Despite his "celebrity", Foster managed to once again carry out a major scam. He set up Sports Predictions to hire betting experts on behalf of investors. In fact, no bets were placed, and the funds went to Peter Foster, who then laundered them and used them. On August 20, he was arrested in Port Douglas (Australia) on the beach while walking dogs.
Private Investigator
The arrest was carried out thanks to the work of a private investigator. One of Sports Predictions' clients, who allegedly lost almost $1.5 million, hired private investigator Ken Gamble from IFW Global. He suspected that the company was engaged in fraud.
For several weeks, the investigator collected data on Sports Predictions and fears that fraudsters are behind the company were confirmed. Despite the fact that the details of the owners were carefully hidden, Ken Gamble was able to determine who was really behind this scheme. After which he tracked down the scammer, gave information to the police and kept a watch until the police finally arrested Peter.
